Bendable Light for Sewing Machine
#51
I do have the light.
I have mixed thoughts.
My machine is in a cabinet that has no support under the machine so it bounces the light. I used tape to hold it in place.
The bulb gets warm
It helps light the area by my needle well
My Ott light does the work when I am matching patches but the little light does the work for threading my needle. Once my machine is sewing I am never looking in the area where the light is shining.

Mine is a clip-on and it certainly helps when I am sewing dark fabrics. It wasn't expensive so I thought it wouldn't be as good as my friends' stick-ons, but it works perfectly fine, and I can use it all around the house, or take it to our sew days.

I have sight in only one eye and that is a cornea transplant. I have a halogen clamp on light on each machine which I bought about six years ago, They do get hot and need to be turned off when not in use, but I absolutely love them and they are out of the way of moving fabric.

I have the bendable bright light and without a doubt it is my favorite sewing accessory. This is what I LOVE about the light. To begin with it easily attaches to your sewing machine. You position the light to shine directly where you want it to. My light shines onto the fabric as it is feeding under the foot as well as in front of the foot. This light truly is bright and the area it covers is remarkable. One more feature that I enjoy is that it can be used on a second machine. In order to do this you do have to purchase an addition mounting bracket. These are inexpensive and can be purchased for about $10.00. So I can remove the light from my “big” sewing machine and put it on the smaller one I am using in a quilting class. I prefer this light over the OTT lights because they are attached to the machine so no addition al space is needed.
Even with my new Janome Horizon sewing machine, which offers more light than any machine I am familiar with, I use the Bendable Bright Light The Horizon does not have any light that shines in front of the machine, which is where you feed the fabric in. With the Bendable Bright Light I can have light on the fabric just before I begin to sew. I hope I am explaining this correctly.
Now I know I probably sound like a salesperson for this product, I’m not. I am just so pleased with this product I want to share it with everyone. This last bit of info could help you make up your mind about purchasing one. You can buy it for $25 plus shipping from Quilting-Warehouse.com . http://www.quilting-warehouse.com/ The additional mounting bracket is on sale. This is a great website and I have used them. Or you can go to www.thefind.com then enter the product you are searching for and they will show you what companies have them and their price.
Hope this helps you.

I bought one at joanns with my 40% off coupon, it was priced at 15.99. It would not attach to my sewing machine, so it is lodged in a container I keep next to my machine, but I don't feel it gives off much light even though they are L.E.D. lights. I feel I wasted my money, but maybe the more expensive one would be worth it???? You do get what you pay for sometimes!!!!!

I have that wonderful little light and I don't know what I would do without it. It shines its light at just the right place and I go zipping along. I cannot understand why the sewing machine companies can't put efficient lighting on the machines. I think the machines are designed by MEN :XD: Now I'm not criticizing you men that quilt, I just think that women could design the things they have to use a whole lot better than men. After all, we women have to work around inefficiently manmade stuff all the time  We know what should be here and what should be there and what not there that should be! This applies to everything we use, the fridge, the stove, the sinks, Oh I'd better get off before I blow my stack!!!!!
