Hi, I am new here, Wendy
I don't have the red light either and can't get BSR1 to work.
I really want this function to work and its frustrating.
I have spent a few hours along with my husband to try to get this going. Any ideas ? I have tried all of your ideas above, Thanks,

One of the things beginners forget ( maybe not you, but I thought I would mention it ) is: You have to move the fabric FIRST, then the BSR will work. Don't expect to see the red light or have it work until you begin to move your project.

I thought I did all of that after reading the blogs here, but I will try that again. I plan on going to the Bernina store I bought this from in 2 days if I still can't get the BSR to work. Thanks

I've had this same problem - now if I can just remember what caused it! Look at the book that comes with the BSR - I think I disconnect the foot pedal, lower feed dogs, make sure the BSR plug is firmly in it's socket. You also need to set your machine to BSR 2. Good luck -
