Have never heard of them, so I googled them. Boy, why didn't anyone think of those a long time ago?? I try everything and my ruler still slips. Gotta get me one of them!

The sidelock is NOT meant to be used on top of another ruler. The ruler underneath can move because it will slide on top of the fabric. If you haven't watched this video, please do so, I think it will answer any questions you have. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYOoRetnlfM By the way, I love these rulers and use them always; they are so much safer.

what a nice surprise... they look like a fantastic addition to your rulers and cutting process, I'm sure you will get a lot of use out of them.

I use it on top of the ruler. It works best for me that way. The ruler has never slipped on the fabric, too much pressure on it from the grippers.
