Went to my sew group today and two member said they bought one. One is already complaining about the touch screen on hers. The other hasn't unboxed hers yet. No returns is too risky for that amount of money.

I thought to myself too many functions actually takes the fun out of sewing for me.
Most of it computer work.
Four of my sew group has this machine. It takes them forever to get the machine set up to do anything. Always formatting and hitting the wrong setting, touch screen not responding, and the computer dings and dongs gets on everyone's nerves. and now that the machines are over a year old, having sensors mess up. They each machine quilted in the hoop, edge to edge and said they wouldn't do that again. They embroidery some but 95% of the use is straight stitch. I can't say much to them about the machines because it's a sore spot now. One wants to sell hers but no one wants to buy. The upgrades are outrageous expensive.

I wonder if these ladies have lessons available for their machines from their dealer? They can turn off/lower the machine sounds. This would be so annoying in class and should be done so they don't bother the other members.

They go to all the Playbook classes and the embroidery classes. Most forget how to change the sounds and have to be reminded constantly. I think the Playbook cost about $250 to take the 'free classes'. It seems to me a money pit I don't understand it unless sewing for an income.
