Cannot use a thimble....argh!

Oh, you poor ladies, I bet your thumbs and middle finger really hurt after a day of quilting. I'm 82 years old and learned quilting with a thimble from my Mom. Yes, it takes a while to get used to it, but if you have the right size it will conform to your finger very nicely. The only thing I have to do is put a band aid on my ring finger as I get a blister. Band aids are cheap.

Wow, I sure am glad there are others out there that can't use a thimble. Every time I put one on, I end up using another finger instead of the one with the thimble. I gave up trying over 50 years ago. Now I may try one of the leather ones to see what happens. Maybe an old dog can learn new tricks.
