I used a strait stitch about 1/4" in sniped the edges and took it to a laundry mat to fray it.

I spent several days cutting my circles and squares to make this quilt. I'm using homespun, denim and W& N batting. It's all kitted up and ready to grab whenever I get a chance. Might be a good project for the summer at the lake.

Need denim? Pay a visit to your local Thrift Store, Goodwill or Salvation Army. I recently bought an XXXL pair of jeans and same size in a jumper. Lots of good material there. Sometimes they also have denim garments that are too worn to put on the floor to sell ..... they will sell those things for pennies.

Thanks so much for the post. A project at my friends church is to make quilts for military veteran members in their church. What a great and easy project. I have a go baby but it makes a 5" circle with the die I have. The you tube tute was helpful as I can decide which size circles to make utilizing a plate or saucer. I have several yards of lightweight denim just waitng for this pattern.

I am in the process of making one.....for my son when he actually moves out. haha I want to get fabric/material from family members as a memory quilt. It would make a great wedding quilt to tie both husband and wife together, but my son keeps asking when his quilt is done....haha
