So far they look great. Like said before, be consistant in your 3rd round so that you can choose your connecting path fabric and have everything pop!

They are gorgeous. Saw one the other day appliqued on light background squares. It left some free space for spectacular quilting.
It will be beautiful however you choose to set it up.

A suggestion - if you are planning to put 'paths' between each 'flower' - maybe make all the outside rounds of comparatively light or comparatively dark fabrics? So that it would be easier to choose a 'background' type of fabric?

Right now, it looks like you are using a medium/lighter fabric for the outside round.
Good advise. Thank you so much.

They look washed out on the muslin. First I tried them with the lighter in the middle and dark on outside, then tried them with the lighter on the outside like they are now. I may need to lay them a different fabric to see if that makes a difference. I haven't sewn them together yet, can't decide which way they look best . . . I always struggle with that aspect of the quilting process. I am fairly new at quilting.

I will do that - someone said the same thing too and I hadn't thought of that. I just love this forum - so many wonderful quilters willing to share their knowledge! It has helped me tremendously in my quilting journey!
