I detest pins so the clips are a must for me. I use the original size the most. I have a large tin box full of them. I use them in place of a pin whenever possible. They hold tight. I had a few left on the binding of my quilt and they stayed on in the washer and when a clanging noise was coming from the dryer was when I discovered it. All were still attached.

I also got the generic clips. I don't use the measurement marks, so I've never been worried if those were not accurate, so haven't paid attention to see if there is a difference there, I just know they hold things together great. And they are much cheaper!
This is the one I bought, but there are also sets that have some of the "jumbo" clips.

I have the generic and original. I like the Wonder Clips the best. I have them mixed up in my tin and I can tell which ones are the Wonder Clips when I use them compared to the generic ones. Be careful of inexpensive name brand Wonder Clips they can be counterfeits. http://clovercatalog.com/wc/wc.pdf

I love mine. I use them when I'm embroidering, sewing, quilts, glueing, etc. Especially when I'm working with leather or any other hard to pin fabric. I also bought these plastic gripper type clamps from Harbor Freight. I can't remember what they were supposed to be for but I got them when I'm holding down a quilt, or like when I just finished a purse where the wonder clips weren't strong enough or big enough to hold the leather in place while the glue dries.
They are also great because when my grandkids come over, it keeps them entertained. They dump out the whole box and just clipping them together to make wierd things.

I have them and used them regularly when adding a binding. I have one package, 8 clips. That is really all I need. I have seen other use them in place of pins to put layers of fabric together when sewing seams. It think it would be easier to take them off as sewing but not tried it.
