Default Come Quilt with me Today - 7/15

The day is here!! Today is our monthly Virtual Quilt Day. The rules are simple, share your goals for the day with us, then get your butt in gear and sew!! Come back through out the day and check in, let us know how you are doing, share a picture or two, and give encouragement to others. Easy as that!! You can jump in with us any time, there is no starting or stopping time. I so hope you'll be able to join us today!!

I don't have many goals for today. I finally finished all the blocks for a quilt I have been working on for 2 years, so I may try and get those together, or I might get distracted by a new project. We'll have to see what comes out of the sewing room today!!

So what will you be working on?

    Cheers!
    Rachel

PS. Someone asked in another post about the best way to see the new comments only and here is a tip in case you don't know. When you are away from the computer for a bit and then come back to the thread, before you go into it, next to the title on the left you will notice a little blue circle with two white arrows pointing down. Click this and you will be taken only to the new posts in the thread since you have been on the computer. This should help you find the new stuff quicker!!

Thanks for the tip on how to view new messages!

I answered another post about not being able to get away from the computer to work on quilt blocks, mug rugs or lots of other projects that I am itching to do. I'm planning to turn off the computer and go back to bed, it is only 3:30am here in CA and I couldn't sleep .... I'm afraid if I turn it back on again I won't get anything accomplished!

I'll try my darndest to get something accomplished today, even if it is just to work on some fabric postcards for a couple of swaps!

Well, I have been waiting for today and it's here. As soon as I get home from church and running two errands, I'll be on the machine and sewing with everyone. I'd like to finish one quilt today - it only needs the outer border put on. Then I have one more dress cut out (I do pillowcase dresses for children in Peru - except I don't use pillowcases, I make them from cut fabric). Then if there's time, I have hand work that really needs to be accomplished. Sew happy everyone. See ya later.

Same boat for me too here in Oregon. Gotta go to bed before I do any quilting!

I'm ready for this! I can't get started for 2 more hours but here's my plan: I'm in my camper this wk which is what I'm making my scrappy log cabin for. I'm doing QAYG so I brought it with me and tried it on the bed. I realize I need one more row on each side- 12 more blocks. So I started earlier this wk- I have 5 done so far. My goal is to get the other 7 done today. Then I'll just be sandwiching each row & attaching. But at least all blocks will be done! Yay me!! Happy sewing day everyone! I'll post pics later.

My goal is to make the July block for Merry, Merry Snowman. I sewed together the pieces of the block before I got to my vacation destination. Now I will spend the day looking out over the marsh and doing all of the hand appliqué and embroidery. It is a gorgeous day! Off to sewing! Thanks, Rachel! Only you could get me to spend a day of vacation sewing.
