My goals today are to finish months 4-6 of last year's Michael Miller Clubhouse BOM. And two pillowcases which were an extra one month. I would really love to finish all of the blocks but didn't want to set myself an unachievable goal! I had a picture of my sewing room to upload but the computer refuses to allow me to "manage attachments". So I will try again later.

Good morning! Its 8:30 here in IN. I up but my motor is still in neutral. Soon I'll get it in gear and with some non quilting stuff first. I've been commissioned to make 6 chair seats. You know those beach chairs with a swagging piece of fabric for a seat and back. Simple sewing and should be able to get them all done quite quickly. To be honest I've been putting them off now for over a month. If I get them done early enough I've got another customer quilt to start. He's wanting a Indianpolis colts quilt, it too has been on the back burner, needs to be done by Aug 27. I'd like to at least get the top cut and pieced ready for applique, theres only 9 large pieces to make the top and then 6 large pieces of applique. Most of the time I THINK I can get done more than I really can, PUT YOUR PEDDLES TO THE METALS GIRLS, IT SEW-A-THON TIME!

so ......get your motor running....head out on the highway....looking for adventure...in whatever comes my way......

    Yep I'm singing again

My goodness. It is only 5:45 here and everyone is hard at work. As promised I am posting pics of my sewing room. It is small. Only 8x10 and even smaller when the cat lays across my cutting table(surprised he still has a tail) and one or both of my dogs are laying in the middle of the floor. On the ironing board are the blocks I will be putting together today. It was a mystery. All the blocks are done just need to put it together. I do not have a design wall. I will have to lay it out on the living room floor. When I do that, I will post a pic of that too. So here goes.....Close your eyes.

Yay! This time uploading the pictures worked. This is the room I do my sewing in. I'm fortunate enough to have another room with my cutting table in it. I have the pieces cut for the first block and heading in to start sewing them. Let's go ladies (and gentlemen if there are any on here today).

I'm joining! I'm working on a chemo quilt for a friend.

Yesterday I drew and cut the applique of a life sized woman standing in a sexy pose - black fabric. I had an oops when I was peeling the steam-a-seam to adhere to the fabric. Near the bottom the web separated and stayed with the paper instead of adhering to my fabric. I think I'll be Ok though as only a small 1" long by perhaps 1/4" wide area of the inside of one of her calves didn't adhere - the rest of the problem was confined to the area in-between her legs down to her feet. Whew!!!

BTW - this is the first time I'm doing applique. Typical for me, I jump right in to the deep end and do an applique that is over 5' tall!!

Today I'll be sewing it with clear poly thread to the quilt top. The quilt top is a blue/white/yellow 2" strips laid horizontally (like a Jelly Roll Race).

Next step will be to cut out the words and applique those as well. I may have to run out for more steam-a-seam.

No borders so when that is done, just quilt and bind.

Oh ... I'll also be doing it all on my "B" machine (Husqvarna Lily 535) as I took my "A" machine (Janome 6600) to the shop yesterday. I did a bad thing to her ... sewed through FAR too much material and messed up her timing. Lesson learned.

Yay!! Y'all are going to be busy today. I just woke up (it's 9:30 AM here), so I am going to make breakfast for the fam, then I will get some pics of the sewing area and get down to the business of sewing.

Checking in - I've got my table runner 1/2 quilted - YAY!!!!!! I'm loving your pictures - I have no clue how to deal with those, so I'll just say that I don't have a room anyway - I'm over in the corner of the living room watching CBS Sunday Morning with the family. I'd say everyone is off to a great start! If I can knock out the other side of the runner, I'm going to break for a bowl of Cheerios!

    Cool Good Morning Everyone!

Had a great time with last month quilt along day, since then I have managed to get all of my applique blocks finished. Now they are sitting on a pile waiting for me to decide exactly what/how I am going to arrange the quilt. I may work on that a tad bit. But, my main goal is to attach the remaining applique pieces to a panel quilt. There are going to be five panels. I have attached some pieces to each panel, but expanded my ideas and need to do quite a bit more.

Will post pictures later of the projects. I am just waking up and having first cup of coffee.
