My CT story. I bought charm squares several years ago and never opened them. I stopped quilting and just started again. Well the charm squares used selvedge edges to make the 5" so I can't use them for that. I decided it was my problem for not looking at it when I got it. I called them to see if that was their normal process, just to know if I could by charm pks again and what actual size they would be. I was told that early on the cutters were not trained very well and that now I should not have that happen. They proceeded to say the fabric line was no longer available but they would substitute a similar line if I wanted. That is superior customer service! I'll sure buy from them again.

On the flip side I asked another big QS what mfg. made a certain fabric. (I favor some mfgs over others). I was told that information was confidential and not released to customers, but, they have a great return policy. Not wanting to go through any return process and keeping the mfg a big secret, I asked to be removed from their mailing list.

For the money spent wherever you spend it IMHO customer service will win every time.

I buy their fabrics and threads whenever they are on sale and I have the extra cash. Have never had a problem. Even when I did have a problem with one of my orders, I called them up, explained the problem and they made it right, no questions asked, no returns, etc. Can't beat that. Of course I always buy enough to get the free shipping so its win-win situation for me.

Last time they had a sale on the their threads, I ended up with 192 spools, 20 pounds worth all free shipping.....:-D

I only bought fabric once from CT. It was from one of their collections last spring and I absolutely fell in love with the fabric, so I had to have it for the backing of one of my quilts. I had heard good things about them, so I didn't hesitate to place the order. You can't imagine my surprise when it arrived looking not even close to what was on their website. The color was totally different (I know there are differences in monitors, but this wasn't even close), the hand was flimsy and the fabric was poorly woven. It would never have stood up to any wear, much less washing many times. I called immediately and they said I could return it, at my cost of course, and that they would refund what I paid for the fabric, less their shipping costs. They sent a refund a couple of weeks later, but it was a very disappointing experience, just the same. I don't think I will order fabric from them again.

I have ordered from Fabric.com with great results, from Thousands of Bolts and from Annie's, as well, with no problems. I have a couple of favorite online sites where I can order without worrying about the quality or price. I also order my thread from a couple of online sites because I only use Aurifil and even with shipping it is less expensive per spool than my LQS.

I am not saying you should not order from CT, just that I wouldn't take the chance, again.

I have ordered from CT many times and have never been disappointed. Arrive in just a few days, perfectly packaged and well priced. Many times have found that border or backing fabric for half the price I would spend at my LQS. I keep in mind our local stores couldn't survive if we purchased everything on line but to get a really good bargain sometimes, I succumb.

I buy from them frequently, have only ever had a problem with the batiks, they fade faster and more than other batiks I buy for some reason - i've started prewashing in retayne for those. I have two full sets waiting to be cut into (Soaked and Bookish) and have been very happy.

I've had good luck with the fabrics I bought from them and they have excellent service. Once they sent me the wrong fabric, and when I called they said to just keep it and they would send what I ordered. It was a nice group of fat quarters that they had send in error so I was very happy to keep them.

I love their fabrics and the only thing keeping me from ordering this time is I want to visit my DD in Mn and need to save $$$$.Youwon't be disappointed with them.

I got the same email message. It was just to inform you that Gmail may put emails in different folders and you may not know it unless you check. It's no big deal. I got emails from most all the online shops saying the same thing.

I have bought their batiks, which did not have a good hand, but I think they got rid of that fabric. otherwise, I am satisfied with what they offer.
Joann's came to our town and I bought fat quarters which are awful. Never again. I shop sales at Hancocks of Paducah and they have great fabric.
