Other than stone-washed jeans - just about everything "store-bought" is made from unwashed fabrics.
and that is exactly why they tell you to wash before wearing!

When dealing with the public, you have to have thick skin, a big smile, and 2 tons of patience. A sense of humor and a stiff drink also help.

ROFL - I used to do craft shows and things when I was really into spinning/weaving and knitting. Do you know these 10 questions are the same ones (well changed for knitting/spinning/weaving) that we got!

The lady who lifted a pair of hand spun and knit mittens with thrums - looked at me and said, "What can I do with these?"

If you don't laugh you'll cry.

Oh and the last one - I was in NY and spinning to teach. I had a little girl ask her Dad where did I get the blue wool - to which her father said, "From blue sheep".

yes, and post it at the door that says --
"if you think you'll say one of these, this show is not for you"

My favorite I've heard at craft shows -- "I can buy that cheaper at WalMart". My response "feel free but my items will last more than a season; have a nice day"..

I have heard many of these at the craft shows...and I have stood in front of an item to screw up the photos...as I tell them that I don't allow photos...one crafter I know, tell them that he doesn't allow photos...against his religion...it stops them every time.

Sorry, Nancy, an Avatar is the picture beside your name. My avatar is my cat guarding a basket of thread.
