I use a Roxanne thimble for everything except applique where I don't need a thimble at all.

I use one to...not all the time, but when my finger gets sore from the holes I make with the needle.
I need to get well used to it, because I think it's better to use it all the time

I use a tailor's thimble for everything but hand quilting. For hand quilting, I use a Thimble Lady cone finger thimble and the Thimble Lady thumb thimble.

I use the Thimble Lady cone finger thimble, too... didn't know about the thumb thimble!? Will be going to her website right now!!! I can see I'll need this!!
