Does anyone else get so caught up in the pictures, questions and projects that are on here that you can't walk away? I have half of a full size quilt lurking behind me (literally right behind me) that I have to finish handquilting by Christmas. Not to mention household duties and cyber-schooling my son and it's way past lunchtime...And yet here I am.
    Why?

Yes - I had to put myself on a computer diet in order to get some sewing done. ;)

I think I spend more time here than actually sewing. No, I'll change that - I KNOW I spend more time here than actually sewing. L

Oooooooh, yesss. The worst is bed time. I think "Just a peek to see what's up." When I come up for air it's 1:30 am, if I'm lucky.

Hand quilting is simplicity in itself. If you miss a stitch, pull the thread through and re-do.

The hand-binding can be done in a jiff compared to the hand-quilting. But machine quilting is a whole lot of set-up every time you sit down. Tension adjustments? front of quilt doesn't look Harriet Hargreaves good enough? Nylon invisible thread tangles up? Knots on the back? bored by pantograph? Tired of 'birthing' the quilt? Lot's of reasons to pick up a needle and thread...

On the other hand, this board is addictive!! :) :) :) :)
    Good luck with your project!!!

Yep! I was without the internet for an entire week and thought I'd lose my mind because I couldn't visit here.

    All the time!

Right now I should be ironing out and cutting a fabric for one, cutting out pink fabrics for another quilt, and maybe washing the cream fabric for the pink quilt. Actually I should have got that done a few nights ago! Yet, here I am.

It's not easy to get stuck here if I have a quilt that's got me engrossed.

But on a day like today, when I had planned to clean my studio and organize everything... well, seeing what everyone else is doing is far more interesting.

For hours at a time.

I go in spurts. I'm spending time on here a bit every day for weeks, then I go days without even checking in. It depends on time constraints and work schedule.

I think it's good to know your "down time" of the day and log on then. Mine is usually late afternoon or after supper when I have no energy left from my day. That's the perfect time to look at quilt pix and have a quilt chat pick-me-up.

Way to much time here some days. I think I come here when i reach a point where I am not sure what to do next with my current project. Another way of putting it off until later.
Someone might post a link etc. that I just have to have.

I've let the liquid boil out of the pot and spoiled many meals as I decided to read "just one more message".
