I buy bolts from Marshall's Dry Goods Wholesale. You can buy a bolt at wholesale prices.
http://www.marshalldrygoods.com/ On the top right click on Wholesale site.

I make a large number of Linus quilts. I like to back them with flannel. JoAnns usually has their bolts of flannel on sale the day after Thanksgiving. I always stock up. I probably have at least three or four of them in my stash right now. I also use their coupons to buy the rolls of batting that I use for the Linus quilts.

I would love to buy material by the bolt, but can't find anywhere good to do so in the UK! I did buy a bolt of wadding and am so glad it did, made it a lot cheaper than my local shop!

I also purchased a bolt of cream muslin for my Dear Jane from my LQS ...as it is taking a while to complete and I wanted it to match front and back.
