I was sewing some pieces together today and watching the Masters golf tournament, got the pieces backwards so took them all out and will try again tomorrow. Maybe she's right!!

I know that it is just a wives tale, but since I made that promise.....I must keep it.

I'm a minister with the United Church in Canada (Protestant, main stream, quite liberal theology) and I quilt before services and afterwards too! I plan many of my services while stitching away and don't believe either God or my parishoners would find my stitching offensive. Much of what I stitch ends up as a Community Project and that's charity. To me, quilting is sharing the mission of Christ with others.

I quilt on Sunday and have even asked my Pastor if it would bother him if I worked on something during his sermons.....

And his response was . Somehow I'm thinking Father Deke might not think that would be a good idea.

I was very close to my Mother-in-law. You don't find that very often, but she was one of a kind. I made the promise so I must keep it......I was just curious if others had heard the same wives tale.

Today I finished a quilt and finished a book while my hubby watched the masters. Afterwards we went for a walk and had dessert in the deck swing. What a great day for both of us.
