These are some of my favorites also. I love reading them but can't listen and quilt at the same time - brain is not wired for that!

Sandra Dallas has several books that center around quilters. I loved The Persian Pickle Club and her middle grade book, The Quilt Walk.

Here are some quilting fiction books I've read recently:

Fool’s Puzzle by Earlene Fowler
The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club by Wanda E. Brunstetter
Wild Goose Chase by Terri Thayler
A Stitch in Time by Ann Rinaldi
The Lover’s Knot by Claire O’Donohue
Forget Me Knot by Mary Marks
Murder, Plain and Simple by Isabella Alan

Most of these are the first of a series. I really loved the Murder, Plain and Simple series and I listened to that one on audible.

Alice's Tulips is another of Sandra Dallas' that I really enjoyed. All of Earlene Fowler's are fun.

Same with my brain! If I'm doing easy sewing I can but if it's more complicated I have to turn it off.

I bought 3 of her books at a Arizona Quilters Guild show a few years ago! Now Amazon tells me when she has a new book out....

A friend gave me several of Earlene Fowler's books (Benni Harper is the main character)and I am hooked.I found the rest of her series used on line. They are well written murder mysteries -a genre which I enjoy. They do work with a particular quilt pattern in each book but are a good mystery read.

I have read almost all these books/authors, maybe I should be doing less reading and more quilting.

I'm on my second Mary Marks book, thanks for the recommendation. A quilter at Weight Watchers, imagine the concept

I did a post on the quilt board (see below to go to the link) about a quilting novel that the author reads. There are 7 chapters so far. The story is set in 1933. It is free. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. :

A Quilt Fiction podcast is fun to listen to while sewing.

Glad to hear about this author and others, as I have found the elm creek series to be dull and really badly written.
