My tip is metal, came with 2 sizes of tips but can't remember where I bought it. I clean the tip out after every session as the glue dries hard.

I take cap off or pour a little at a time on a paper plate and use a wooden bamboo skewer to apply.

I found some 4 oz bottles with a luer lock bottle cap that takes different sizes of syringe needles. It was advertised for gun oil. Works great with glue tho. I can't remember if I found them on amazon or ebay. The needle that came with mine was a 16 gauge with a blunt tip about 2 inches long.

here is a ebay link. this one says for ink but looks the same as mine

Funny, but I always had my tip stop up, even though I ran a broom straw through it and rinsed it thoroughly every time!

I think it was Annie's that sells bottle glue, comes with two needle points. One about an inch long and the other about 2 inches long. Just be sure to wash all the glue from the needle points after use. Once clean I also inserted a long straight pin in the needle and tape all parts to the bottle so I don't have to look for anything when it's time to use it.

This was on one of the latest Cheryl Phillips Youtube vids. I remember seeing it too but I've got the new plastic tips from Sharon Schamber and they work well. Got them mid last year.

If you can find it, Elmer's also makes a glue pen. They make one with the school glue and another with 'other' glue. I found mine at Walmart and I look every time I go there (which isn't often) but never see them anymore.

I found that if I store my elmer's glue bottle up side down, that it never dries out or clogs. I have a small ceramic cup that I keep it in right next to my sewing machine. Works like a charm. I believe that this works because the glue stays in the tip and no air can get to it. Worth a try. It works for me.
