My wife and I both quilt. She tought me to quilt about seven years ago. We do a lot of quilts for charities. As for machines we each have plenty. You might say I have a stash of machines.

My husband doesn't quilt (he likes to paint) but he is very supportive of my "habit". He does sew, he was a single Dad to three boys, so he made clothes, pillow cases, curtains and did all the mending and alterations. He cooks, cleans and builds and renovates things and for the first 10 years of our marriage I was doing full-time paid work and he took care of his kids, my kids and ran the house like clockwork. I was the envy of all my co-workers at morning tea and lunch, his culinary creations became legendary. A few years ago I needed a sabbatical to deal with some health problems, so now he has a full-time paid position working as a heavy duty fitter and welder. I wouldn't trade him for anything and if you'd have told me 15 years ago such men existed I would have said "Yeah, and pigs can fly".

Well I will answer that one. No I do not change the oil in the car. I do not mow, but I can at times when needed. My children give me a hard time because I like for my husband to be the one who puts the gas in my car. Don't get me wrong. I can put gas in the car and I can mow the grass. But I can not change the oil in the car. Something I never learned how to do.
