I recently did a jelly roll race quilt. It was done in no time. That is probably the quickest I finished a large quilt and so easy.

If you want something a little more traditional that is easy, how about a Nine Patch combined with Rails? If this attachment works, here is a picture of a queensized one I made for one of my beds. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater It is on my Thimble and Thread facebook page. It can be strip pieced, so it goes pretty fast. Would go even faster if the blocks were made larger than what I did.

I made 3 different ones using the Tumbler template that MSQC has. There is tute for it also. Very easy and fast, I thought.

I have made 2 king and 3 crib quilts out of Wonder blocks by Terry Martin.Fast and fun. No sashing and you can make the blocks 5 different sizes. My granddaughter picked one as her wedding quilt and it was batiks.

Rail Fence and Warm Wishes also get my vote. I've also made a king size Wickedly Easy quilt Looks great, quick and easy.

Although some of the others mentioned I haven't tried. Guess I should!

Love the finished quilt and guess it would make a wonderful headboard.
this can be, or is a D9P. just make a 9 patch with black middle blocks. have your colored squares on the 4 corners and in the very middle square. looks like it might be at least 6" blocks finised size.

then cut down the middle horizonally and vertically. then put them back together.

One simple pattern would be an Amish quilt - diamond (large square set on point), one or more borders, setting triangles, one or more borders, then a large border for the outside.

Other easy patterns include the snowball, 9 patch, snowball alternated with 9 patch, brick road (or wall), rail fence, disappearing 9 patch.
