A quilt like that would be beautiful but, I don;t think I would enjoy making one. You are getting lots of good help and I'm sure you can do it. Make notes of the tips on making these.

I just did a block that had this in it and I pp'd that section. I also made my rectangle a little larger and then cut it down. Worked great that way!

Thanks for the download, hevemi. I do like the idea of paper piecing this piece. I really think it would be much easier than trying to use a template.

Lanalee, is the Thangles technique a form of paper piecing??

go to JoAnn fab, I think they have the BiRangle set there....with coupon price would be good, and plastic templates are so much easier to work with....it is a good investment in templates, a lot designs call for that rectangle star

Doesn't Eleanor Burns have a tute on this pointy star....hers would be easy to watch and learn from... or Fons & Porter too
