Embroidery Machines Lets Chat & Have Fun

A few things I have been working on. The Easter egg is from OESD. I will use more pastel colors next time I do one. My flock continues to grow. Designs from Embroidery Library. My embroidery is "on hold" for a bit as my machine had to go back to the factory

Ive done alot with my cheap Brother 4 in embroidery machine but would like to go larger so I can quilt a quilt with embroidery.
Which is best card or disk in a machine?
How big of an embroidery area is best?
Would like to do 12 in blocks with it.

Cards and discs are old technology now, most all of todays embroidery machines use USB flash drives. What brand to buy is a personal decision, you're likely to get as many opinions as there are machines. And your budget will play an important part in your decision. I'm partial to Janome and Brother, though I'm really sold on Janome for embroidery. The Janome 500e is my favorite of all 5 of my embroidery machines. It's an expensive machine but oh, so worth it.

That's my understanding also. You can use Disney designs until the cows come home for your personal use, give as gifts, but you CANNOT sell any. And I believe Ibroidery is Brother's designs site. Seems to me if you can buy Disney designs from them, you can stitch them out no matter what machine you have. My machine came with them, but have no grandchildren so never use them. The few times I have used them, I stopped the stitching before it stitched out the word Disney.

You have to register your machine when you join Ibroidery. You have to choose your machine from a drop down list and if your machine isn't on that list, you can't buy Disney designs. I found this out because I bought a D machine so I could buy Disney designs and when I signed up, because my machine isn't on the list I can't buy the designs. PE400D.
