Thanks for the link. I have been using the padding but after awhile it does move. I think the roll is a great idea. Can't wait to try it.

Same here. You can get it at the discount dollar stores or even in grocery store in household section. Couple bucks.

I've posted this before because it worked for me when I used a foot pedal - turn the pedal around back to front and sew normally. Somehow this seems to stabilize it.

If your flooring is carpet, try the sticky back velcro, put the "stiff" side on the bottom of the pedal.

I have wood floors and use that grippy shelf liner stuff. It's not perfect, but I find that if I anchor it down by using the legs of my sewing table to hold it in place then it will stay put and my pedal stays put on it.

My sewing room has carpet. The shelf liner doesn't work and I didn't want to use Velcro because I was worried it would ruin the carpet fibres. So I bought a set of those rigid plastic pieces that have multiple pegs on them, they're meant to keep the weight of furniture off of carpet. The ones I bought were square and had a peel and stick surface - I mounted two on the underside of my foot control. I also turned it around as suggested, front to back, and it rarely moves much at all now.

Thanks for the link, LtQ. I think this would make a great gift for my quilting friends.

Have you tried taping it to the floor?

I bought a rubber shower mat at Walmart. I cut it in half because it was so large and since I have two machines set up in my sewing room, I have a mat for each. Ever since I have been using this, my foot pedal does not slip. I love it.
