That panel is absolutely beautiful. It makes me want to finish my oriental quilt that is put up in the cabinet. It is purple. What do you do with the panel when completed?

I sew a hanging sleeve on the back and hang it on a wall with a dowel or curtain rod with finials. You can also use a quilt hanger.

I know what I'm going to do with my three. They are becoming the window quilts in my craftroom. I haven't even bought the material yet and I already can't wait to finish them and get them hung up. I know crazy right?

Not crazy at all!! Just a typical quilt fanatic!! That's a great idea... I never thought of using them as a window treatment. Please post pictures when you complete them.

I need help. I'm looking at this fabric for the kamono for the first geisha. Can anyone suggest a background that would complement it? everything I come up with would swallow the print.

http://www.fabric.com/DesignWall.asp...a-9cbfe4966400

The kamono fabric is the tiger fabric in the upper far left corner. TIA

This is the panel I'm looking at buying.
i have the one on the right, but it came with a panel of printed fabric to cut out & applique on...but i'm afraid of messing it up, because what do you do with the fabric panel if that happens.

i bought it for my ds, but what i may do is give it to my ddil, so she can make it for him...seems like an "easy " christmas present! lol

Well from what I've noticed so far. If you mess up with the Fusible web you just take it off and do it again. Since everything is going to get covered before your through any glue left on it will be covered. If you mess up while stitching around the applique just pull out the seam ripper and carefully tear out the stitches and then knot what is left in the back so it doesn't run. What other kinds of Quilting nightmares are you having?

This is the Kimono.

And I'm thinking I'll couch some gold cording and add some free floating beads for her hair ornament.

And maybe 4 strands of embroidery floss for her hair done in parallel rows of running stitch.

What do you think?
