I'm going for 2 days! We have reservations at KY Dam Village for the week. My hubby says he's going with me one day and then he'll golf or fish or something the rest of the time. It will be my first time there, I did go to Knoxville to it last year. I've been saving my money for months!

I went last year - staying home this year. Don't miss Hancocks or the mall. Be sure you wear comfortable shoes & take a bottle of water. It gets very crowded and sometimes warm - depending on the weather. Have fun!

My BFF and I are doing a day trip to Paducah -- it's almost an annual pilgrimage....Since the hotel where the show used to be is now closed, I'm not sure who will be where. However, take your walking shoes, your camera and a charge card
After you visit Hancocks of Paducah -- go down the same road a bit and visit the Hobby Lobby -- they always have special sales too...
And don't forget to sample the food vendors outside of the show. There is a wonderful little stand that sells the best BBQ you've ever eaten as well as another little stand that sells strawberry shortcake...

I hope you all have rooms already because they are always booked up. If you go that far, go over the bridge to Metropolis Illinois and check out the huge Superman statue, and also Harrah's Casino! For the quilt show, make sure you have comfortable shoes, lots of patience, and credit cards or $$$$. It might not be a bad idea to take a bottle of water and a snack altho they DO have a cafeteria - enjoy the vendors - my favorite part with all the new items!! Have fun!

I usually go every year, at least for the past 8 years. This year due to doctoring things won't be going. I really miss it. I always take a full schedule of classes as that is my passion. My sister, cousin, and a quilting buddy go and they take less classes. I see the quilt show and vendors between classes. Always hit Hancocks, Eleanor's show is a hoot, visit the book store and the mall. Some times try to see local quilt shows too if we find out about them. There are usually church dinners that you can get into for a nice meal at a reasonable price and lots of interesting quilting folks. Enjoy and remember you may not be able to see it all the first time. We always go a day early and do some of that too...Will be wishing I were there in April...
