Grand Illusion

I am very impressed with your fabric choices.
I have collected all my fabric, but was too busy before Christmas, to start it. I am going to start cutting this weekend...
May I ask, what did you use for the whites? It's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like you used mostly white/white tonal, instead of white with black? If that's what you did, I think it went a long way in being able to see the contrast between the greens and turquoises. I want to do the same!

Oh! Your grand illusion is beautiful!!! The more I see this quilt done in Bonnie's colors the more I like it. I don't have a clue about quilting this beauty but will be anxious to see suggestions from the brilliant quilters on this board.

You did a fantastic job on this! I've just the sash & border to put on to finish mine. I'm shooting to finish it today. I'm just going to do an overall edge to edge design. Nothing really fancy, but on the swirly side. These are so busy that anything else will just get lost in the pattern.

I'm not a firm believer in what I call over quilting. Something in a simple curve or circular pattern because everything is basically a square. I'm making one also, but with twelve blocks. I have no use for a large one. Just enough to throw over a couch or a chair. In looking at yours, I love the design for the outer border. It really sets the whole pattern.
