kepp going I'm sure she will love it and besides the bedroom could perhaps do with a new lick of paint to match the quilt.
Or if shwe doesn;t use it in her bedroom but else where ie living room, she could always pay you to make a quilt in her colour chioce.

I think you've captured the essence of what you originally thought she would love. I think you should finish it, she will be so thrilled! btw I wish I had a mom who would sew something for my BFF, but I have neither!

If you want to try to get the dark chocolate/maroon whatever, could you put it in the border?

Or use some of the leftover fabric and make shams with those colors in there to tie it all together.

In any case ------ Just Do IT! like the Nike ad.

The quilting is a piece of cake -- it means your almost done! Just get yourself started, it's all downhill from there.
