I love SewHelpMe Hand cream. It's non greasy so you can sew immediately after applying and it's fragrance free. Got it in a local quilt shop.

My favorite is a lotion called Renew made by a company called Melaleuca Inc. But you have to join to order from them.(Sort of like Amway)I am not a member anymore so I hope my stash doesn't run out soon! My husbands hands crack very bad in the winter from work (he is a welder)and it keeps his hands from cracking if he uses it everynight before bed. It is not greasy at all.
If he does get a crack the best thing we found to use is good old Desitin. He puts it on at night and covers it with the adhiesive medical tape and in the morning all of the soreness is gone! You might have to do it a few nights to get it completly healed though.

Thanks!
Here is exactly what I use for one batch of lotion. I purchased all ingredients at Dollar General.
Thank you so much for the picture! Now I know what I am looking for! :)

I use baby food jars and pimento jars. Spray paint lids & hot glue small seasonal candle rings or a silk flower or bow on top.
Great gifts.

Amen to that! I've been using Mary Kay products for over 25 years and must say that, not only are the skin care/anti-aging products the best, the hand cream is amazing! We have a tube at every sink in the house....my husband loves it, too.

From the picture it looks like you only use 8 oz. of petroleum jelly, 16 oz of Vitamin E cream and 16 oz of skin lotion. Is that right or do you use 16 oz of the jelly too?

On a sad note, we don't have Dollar General stores here in Idaho. Will keep looking for the vitamin E cream. The cream I made last night from the cocoa scented petroleum jelly, and cocoa butter lotion with vitamin E added turned out okay for a night cream, abit greasy to use while in the sewing room. My hands were soft this morning.

Bag Balm is my solution too

walmart is now carrying the vit e cream too. Yes you use 2 of each vaseline and vit e cream and the baby lotion unscented. You may add a fragrance oil if you like.
