I was going to the quilt store but instead stayed home and almost finished a project. Will finish it today. I feel good about the finished quilt. Better then going to shop and buy something I don't really need.

We celebrated National Quilting Day with a Sew In. Got to meet some great ladies, had some wonderful food, ooed and ahed over the beautiful work on display (both current and vintage)and shared some info and expertise and made some progress on all our projects. All in all a great day.

I went to the Quilting and Sewing Expo here in Lakeland yesterday. Lots of beautiful quilts on display and had lots of fun at a quilting class in the morning. Met some really nice ladies and got 4 quilt blocks finished!

We certainly had a beautiful day in Central Kentucky for our Quilters' Day Out. What a speaker and the entertainment! WOW! If you ever get a chance to attend a Lola Jenkins' trunk show, it is great, inspirational, and extremely entertaining.

I was at our Guild's retreat (it was in a quilt shop so we could shop too) so I was able to sew all day with friends. We had an egg casserole breakfast that a member brought in with juice, coffee, and fresh fruit. Then it was off to sew with friends, snacks, and a soup/sandwich lunch that members brought in. We had a lot of fun and accomplished a lot
