What a wonderful story. Looks to me like it is time for him to receive a quilt of his own. You know he will love it sense he seems to love his dads quilt from you. Good job. I like the pattern.

My youngest daughter has taken her quilt to college, trekking through Spain, several places where she has lived, and just recently asked me to please put another binding on it since it was worn. I was bowled over! I didn't even know she still had it with all that moving around! She raised her eyebrow at me and said "Mom, of course I have it!"

A blanket warms the body but a quilt warms the soul. You made your SS a comforter and he still loves it. What a wonderful story.
