I have had no problem with them. They are very sharp.

same for me. My old blades that I use to cut paper cut fabric better than the new ones from Harbour Freight

I have really liked them. They are sharp enough for me and cost $2.00 vs $10 at my LQS. http://www.harborfreight.com/gsearch?q=carpet+cutters. The blades that come from Olfa and other manufacturers are oily too and if you wash them it could dull them and cause rust. If it bothers you just wipe them down. Even stainless steel rusts. I use the blade as is and have had no problems. The oil is to lessen friction in the cutter. They have to be super sharp to cut carpet. I haven't had a problem yet and even if you get a bad one it is still cheaper to try another.

Can you tell me how to find them on the HF website? When I put in "blade" as a search, it comes up with everything but 45mm blades. I would like to order some. Thanks!

Do you have to pay $6.99 shipping for these?

I bought blades at JoAnn's when they were on a BOGO sale. Cost the same as Harbor Freight.

ok, I have had some blades that don't cut as well as others.
My question..the blade sharpeners do they work? .. since I am starting to quilt I will be using mine more often.
    thanks Char

I did that just last night. I thought I had real problems but I looked and found I had put in both blades. Works so much better with one blade. This is my first HF blade and was wondering how they would last. How often do you change your reg blades?
