Welcome Viv! I'm 62, been quilting @ 10 years, but like you, I was in too much of a hurry to get things done. Once I slowed down, my skills improved immensely! The quilters on this board are always here to help each other, whether it's a pattern, technique, or inspiration. Keep up the good work & just enjoy the process. I look forward to seeing some of your quilts!

Welcome! It sounds like you are well on you way to love quilting. I have made several quilts, some of them quilte difficult, but still consider myself to be a beginner. I learn best by looking at the pictures but I know you need to read the directions. Sometimes the pictures leave somethings out that you need. I have found that reading the directions through before starting really helps and then reread as you do each step.
