Here are the two attempts. I apologize in advance for my sorry attempt at choosing colors (again).
Now you're getting there!! I like the top one best but I'd switch the two middle greens. It would be the 5th and 6th from the left if you count from the black. The black will really make this pop!

For those poor souls who are still following my pathetic thread.

One last green option (added a fabric I used before).

Geez, this sure is one way to organize your stash!!

It looks great!! The only change (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) I would quietly and softly and gently suggest is changing the last one to a light tan shade rather than whiteish....

In our corporate effort, I think we've got it!! At least I feel good about it.

Can't express how much I've learned, and how much I've appreciated all the help. I even picked out a spot on the wall in the hall at the entrance of our home.

Now to actually see if I can SEW a bargello. Hoping to take my 40th birthday on Wednesday and give it a shot.

Thanks again, everybody, for tolerating my ignorance.

    Trina

To all of my little bargello helpers out there who are intersted in my progress... Tonight I actually cut out my strips out of the initial piecing of the colors together and am ready to start piecing my top together! I just love the look of the flow of colors, and was so excited when I got to strip piece them together. They have a very warm and serene feeling. To be honest, I'm kinda now a bit intimidated to start actually putting all the different size strips together, but I'm sure it will be fine. Just gotta take that first LEAP of faith!

I'll keep ya all posted when I get the top done, which probably won't be for a bit of a while yet. BUT, at least all the time you devoted to helping me was not wasted time and I really wanted to let you know that I appreciated all the help and am using the knowledge to actually MAKE the project.

    Have a great Friday everybody!
