It definitely forces you to be organized!! AND, since I'm re-organizing hubby's business into Quickbooks and just worked on re-organizing the sewing room (which is a work in progress) at the same time as my first bargello, I'm turning into an organizing manic. SEW unlike me.

OK, now I'm really getting dizzy! ha ha I could not imagine trying to stay organized for a full size quilt. Being organized is certainly no first nature to me! I think I'll be doing this wallhanging while taking baby steps. Sure is teaching me patience. ;) I just need to do this layout like 4 more times... and even the thought of sewing them all together is a bit terrifying for me. It is pretty cool to start actually seeing what the flow will feel like.

    I'll keep ya posted...

Just wanted to 'report in' tonight. I finally got up my nerve and started piecing the strips together tonight. LOTS of pins!! Am I overly-freaking out by pinning between each color?? So far everything seems to be lining up. Somehow I'm feeling like I'm going through quilting bootcamp. I've never done a pattern that I need to really think about making sure everything is matching up. I've got about 5 strips pieced and pressed so far, and I'm starting to see the 'wave'. How exciting!! How in the world do people make HUGE quilts like this?

Anyway, I'm excited and just wanted to share. I'll definitely need to take a break and do some scrappy crumb quilting during this project where I can cut free and just 'wing it'.
