I brought some stuff that is called Pee-pee when my cat had an intestial virus and she pooped all over a couch.. it is super stain and order remover - permanently removes stains and ordors - it really removes it and they don't go there again... I live in alaska and Im really not sure where to purchase it but it works....The couch was not harmed in any way and the rug she did it on - she never used it again after this Pee-Pee... I was really pleased with this stuff..
Hope this helps

Me too JuneC. Whoever came up with the idea that perfume is a refreshing smell didn't have allergies!

I like the cleaners by WINK I bet they make one for cat urine. Check them out. It took out grape koolaid from my duaghters 4-H quilt. So I know their stain remover is good - a little costly but good.

Fabrez, except the one for pets, doesn't do anything for cat urine. Or dog. The vet told me that the animals could be alergic to fabrez too.

My brother-in-law used to have a carpet cleaning business. Here's the scoop (no pun intended):
If cat pee is still wet, neutralize it with vinegar.
If cat pee has dried, wet it with amonia to re-activate it, then neutralize it with vinegar.
Then wash with regular soap and water.
QESTION: vinegar -- did your BIL say if the vinegar was used full strength or diluted? White vinegar or ______?
Thanks.

I had bought in walmart skunk away for the corner of my area rug, as I had already tried other brands recommended to get the smell out. didn't work. I thought skunk tham cat pee try it. It worked ,than my husband gave it to our neighbors for they had dog smells. Nver got it back. I went back to walmart and guess what don't carry it anymore. So I suggest computer skunk away and see if you find anything. Good luck

Several years ago, my male cat sprayed on the carpet in my bathroom. I used everything I could think of with no luck -then started analyzing the problem. Urine is close to ammonia, isn't it? It burns your eyes anyway. -right? So, I sprayed ammonia on it and let it dry and voila - no more odor.
