Move them apart a little while still on the bed and left the bedspread act as sashing. I think sashing might be in order on this one!

Have you thought about incorporating a black and white checker board somewhere? I think that would look really nice as a border.

I think your blocks look beautiful, love the fabric combinations. Maybe putting the quilt away for a bit, then coming back to it might make it less ho-hum for you. I think it's great.

What is the overall look that you want from this quilt? Audition several colors for the sashing and see which one gives you the look you want. Ants??? cute but will make you think of a picnic table cloth

I want to add, that I have faith in you in finishing this quilt when the time is right for you.

What if you did your block for every other one and maybe a red for the other block and do some cool quilting in the plain block

I love your blocks and the offset without sashing. I would, however; frame the center with a narrow black strip and then add a red border. I agree with your DH, No Ants!!! I know it will be lovely, whatever you decide.

This was my thought...play with an on-point setting, perhaps with narrow sashing, and see if it wakes it up for you.

I like it, but if you can preview black sashing in between the blocks maybe that will have the quilt talk to you.

Thank-you everyone for your suggestions. I am putting the quilt aside to finish another quilt- this was one suggestion that was suggested by many. I then will try the various suggestions of sashing. No ants! I heard the majority
i will post the finish quilt that right now is a mystery. Thank-you again for your guidance. Don't know what I would do without this board.
