Hobby Lobby has something for everyone, that's for sure ... in ours here, the fabrics are pretty good but books and notions are pretty limited. I do shop there for holiday stuff.
My gripe with HL is that they so badly need to UPDATE their checkouts ... they don't have price scanning, so the poor clerks have to ring up EVERY item. It takes forever when people are buying a lot of stuff, plus they often miss the sale prices. Are HL like that all over the US ?? I've only been to ones here in TX ... just wondering
Our's in Austin (Brodie Oaks) goes pretty fast. Nice HL in San Antonio also as you head out Hwy 281 north.

I love Hobby Lobby not only for quilting but decorative items as well. Don't have them in California (yet) but there's one where my daughter lives in Arizona and I always go there when I visit.

I like the way they close on Sunday so families can have time together.

It's great that you are getting a Hobby Lobby in your area. My husband and I frequent our nearest HL weekly and we both seem to always find what we am looking for. But don't be fooled when you receive a 40%-off coupon in a flyer or on-line. It is only for items that are at the original full price. Quilting fabrics and picture frames have been advertised as 30% and 50% off respectively for the six years that we have shopped there. So don't think that you are getting a deal. We get a kick out of walking up to the store each week and saying to each other " Wow, pictures frames are 50% off today, imagine that!"

You will love Hobby Lobby. My DH and I really like shopping there. It has something for everyone. It does pay to know your prices. I appreciate the competition it brought into our area for Craft Warehouse and JoAnn Fabrics. :-D

You can use your 40% off coupons for fabric that is marked down. They just use the non-sale price and take 40% off. I ususally do that if I have a 40% coupon with me as it will come out cheaper that way.

We just got one in Visalia Ca. so if your heading north or south on Hwy 99 just a little detour wouldn't be so bad, passed the DC on the way to an uncles home in OK a couple a years ago and antena went up, but never made it into a store. Have one close enough now to visit regular ( O Happy dance) lots a cool stuff.
