I use an old Altoid's container. They sell a round one and it's perfect.

The spent needles I save them in one of the 35mm plastic film canisters. I never thought about the metal recyclers, have one not far away. Like that idea, if I can't find a non-profit that can use the old blades the recyler is a good option. Chris

I use an old cake frosting bucket and dispose of them when it's full.

I store mine in a large medicine bottle...it is just the right size to drop the blade into. since it held really big pills, it will take a long time to fill it up. When that happened, I'll just drop it in the trash and start over with a new bottle. You might try buying an empty bottle at your pharmacy.

I use LP Sharp, also. Send them a dull 45mm Olfa and $3 and they send you a brand new one in exchange. Other 45mm blades are $2.20 so the information below is a little confused. I just sent them 26 (yes 26) 45mm and 1 60mm Olfa blades and a check for $83 (60mm are $5) and got brand new ones back. Best part is that there is a place to recycle your old blades without sending them to landfills.

How much? $ 2.20 ea they are actually exchanged or $ 33.00 for 10

Are they "as good as new" when you get them back?
They sure are.

What? Send away to resharpen? They have sharpeners for sale at Hancocks and Joanns for around 17.00. How much does it cost to have them resharpened anyhow? Would it be worth it in the long run? :D (Sorry, never heard of this before.)
Must have been writing as previous person was posting.
