I have a Memory Craft 4800 and love it. I also have a nearly sixty-year-old Kenmore with cams and it is also wonderful. My Singer, circa 1940's makes a great straight stitch. I have used other machines at workshops and don't think any new ones are equal to my Janome. froggyintexas

I grew up using Singer and White machines, but when the time came to really invest in a sewing machine I chose Janome. I initially looked at them because the home economics teacher had some and thought they were the best machines in her room. In my opinion, she was right. Since that initial purchase, I have moved into the 6600P, and also a little JemGold. In my opinion, Janome has figured out how to produce a reliable, durable machine with fabulous features.

I have owned a Janome since the 6000 came out in the 80s. I have found them the most reliable machines! I have owned several others but always come back to Janome. I presently have the 7700 and 11000.

Have 2 Janomes love them. Had the memory craft 8000 when it first came out. Really liked it but too many bells and whistles and when one computer part died it was all dead. Had a funeral :) and bought the 6260... However the dealer makes or breaks ANY machine. I would have never bought another one if I only had this one dealer to go to.

I have had a Janome 3000 for over 18 years. The only thing that has been done to is a service every couple of years. It does not embroidery and I wish I could do that but I have done a lot of sewing and quilting on it. I even do FMQ on it. I highly recommend Janome products and if I could afford it I would by the new 7700

I have the Memory Craft 6500---I don't think I'll ever need another machine--does everything but sing to me! 'Course I'm almost 88. I probably don't have time to wear this one out!
