I'd like to sell my machine locally and I'm scared of Craigslist now (2 sellers assaulted/murdered recently in our area). Any ideas?

Also, how do you figure out how much a used machine is worth?

I'm going to go to a local dealer and see what he'd offer, but I'm curious if anyone knows any other options.

You could use craigs list as a way to see what other are getting for there machine. But then just put a add in the local paper.

I recently sold something on craigslist but did not meet the buyer at the house. You can meet them at the mall or other convenient public place.

I too, have a reluctance to list anything now. What kind of machine are you wanting to sell?

I have purchased 2 machines on Ebay and have been very happy. Craigs list is OK. I have sold a few things but always delivered the item or sent it by UPS. I calculate that in the starting price. However, I agree, put it up for us Quilters first.....
