I love this idea! I had the 60% off coupon for JoAnn's this weekend and splurged for a whole roll of W&N. Right now it is stored in the back seat of my car! This sounds like a great idea for me!

I was going to purchase a roll of batting recently but I hit a batting clearance at a Walmart in the city. I opted for that instead since the packages were $3 and $5 and I bought all of them. I am however ready (I think) for one roll when I need it...I found a Christmas tree stand at a thrift store that has very wide spreading legs. I put a closet rod into it and tightened up the screws as tight as I could get them. I should be able to just slip the roll right over the rod and then pull the batting off sideways to cut to size. I hope it works out since my LA is in the alcove off my living room, there will be no hooks in the ceiling, LOL! My LA frame is an old Grace with no batting bar, besides I have all of stash stored under the frame in clear tubs.

I have mine on top of my converted china cabinet (now holds my quilting supplies and some of my stash) covered by a table cloth.

Thanks for your help!
I have mine still in its plastic cover and it is under the spare bed as I don't have any where else to put it.

I had my husband put closet rod on the wall in the basement and it hangs above the end of my cutting table, very conventient and out of the way.
