I do the plastic drawers like lalaland by color. Can see the color through the drawers and keeps them dust free.

Wow... all that thread. I am planning on ordering some embroidery thread, but wasn't sure how to store them. There are some great suggestions here. Thanks.

I use 3 drawer carts from Office Max...My husband cut white peg board to fit in each drawer....then cut wooden dowels to fit in the peg board....space them out like you would want them...then glue the pegs in place....holds several spools of thread..

I just bought over 170 different colors of thread (1000m each), so I cannibalized my plastic drawers and all 170 fit in six drawers that cost less than $20.00. It is great!!!
