I'm in the process of packing for moving and I have found 18 UFO's, and 6 finished quilt tops. Thank goodness I put each UFO in a separate bin with pattern, ruler needed, and the fabric needed to finish it. Now I know where my missing rulers are. LOL I kept buying one of the same rulers. I need a better memory and much more time.

I have zero UFOs, but I do have 13 PhD's! (Projects Half Done). Most are completed tops, as I absolutely HATE to sandwich, baste, quilt and bind. Others are cut and waiting to stitch together. Then there are the ones (I didn't count these) that I have the pattern and the fabrics to make them.

I counted them about 3 or 4 years ago and at that time, there were 24, or thereabouts. Since then I have finished a few of them, and given a few tops to my sister.

I have just my Allietaire as an UFO and its up on my design wall now so I'm actually working on it. Just came back from a quilt retreat and got one quilt started and finished, one project I got 80 blocks done and the other I have only 36 out of 100 left to do so I feel good. These projects I'm working on right now too so don't know if you could call them UFOs now or not.

Oh, I'm not sure. I used to only work on one at a time. Somewhere between 5 and 10, I guess.

Lovely bed runners and a fabulous idea if/when we just lose interest in the middle of a project. Thank you for the wonderful idea and beautiful examples

So I've been making double sided bed runners out of them.
And I love seeing them on the bed and not nagging from the closet.

Do UFO's count if you are actively working on them or only if they are languishing in the closet?

All told, I've got 6 altogether. 3 I'm actively working on.

Hey Watson, I think UFO is in the eye of the beholder. I always have three or four (okay, sometimes as many as 5 or 6) projects that I'm actively working on--I consider those to be WIPs--unless I get bored or stuck on where to go next with one and it gets put away and becomes a UFO. Some folks consider anything that hasn't been worked on for at least a year to be a UFO.

My UFO pile currently has things that have been sitting there for anywhere from 6 months to 10 years waiting for me to decide what to do with them. When I pull one out to work on it, in my mind it's still a UFO until finished! I do eventually finish my UFOs I've just decided that it's part of my process to always have them. Right now I've got at least 20, maybe more... I also set a goal a couple years ago to complete at least one UFO each month and joined the UFO challenge... so far I've managed to meet my goal of 1 finish every month for the last couple of years, but I keep starting new things so the pile waxes and wanes, but never really goes away LOL!

That's like asking how much I weigh. Haha! I just sent 2 tops to the quilter. So soon to be 2 less UFOs. Not going to count just going to keep on sewing.

Now these are just tops in some state of assembly....you know we have tried this before. I made a list. The list is still sitting there. I got up to 13, ran out of paper. I've finished one since then, maybe started a couple more.

Hummmm......
