Thanks, everyone! Lots of great ideas.

No, madpatter, I picked all those colours.

I went to spray baste it today, got the backing on and then got the top all ready to go and realized I didn't have enough spray! Frustrating. I was sure I had a whole new can in my sewing room. So, that will have to wait until I get to the shop.

Really appreciate all the suggestions everyone has come up with. Lots of food for thought.

Watson, that is stunning! Love those colours!

I'm personally not a fan of all over quilting for a beautiful piece like that. I love my bright colours, and I like to see how much I can make them pop!

How comfortable are you doing FMQ? Or even using your walking foot?

Me? Now, we all know I'm a bit nuts (I'm the one currently doing an applique with 497 pieces LOL) but I would do three loops in each triangle (goose) using matching thread and SITD on the black part of the triangle.

For the borders I would do a square on point with another square not on point on the inside … Your "points" would join across the borders …

Have fun, and I'm sure whatever you do, will make it fabulous!
