Interesting question. I had orphan fabric purchased on line like you did. I used a practice project and it came to life and found a home! Another piece I used as a back and it also came to life!

I've used pieces that I didn't like to make sample blocks or let DGD have it. Used a "what was I thinking" piece one time for a sample block and it turned out of be gorgeous!

So... what would you do with 1 yard of orphan fabric?

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Yup! Stash it......I've found many "ugly" pieces of fabric that perfectly fit at times......from my stash. Or you could use it as a backing or may mug rugs or.....etc., etc., etc.
