Loved your story. I know from family experience that not only the thought but also the physical warmth matters. The time spent in treatment can be chilly or downright cold. Of course, the medical caregivers provide blankets but a quilt the patient can carry to treatment comforts on many levels.

Loved the way you put it. I learned a long time ago that if you give a gift of any type with a string attached to it - what kind of a gift is it? I don't expect anything, but like grannie cheechee said - if I have UPS'd it (I NEVER mail a quilt) I like to know that got to it's destination. As a side note and warning....A friend mailed a quilt - was delivered to a warehouse and the post office knew they delivered it wrong and she fought for over 6 months to get an amount much less than the fabric, batting and thread cost. So please - if you treasure your quilts - don't mail them!
