I am ready.....

I am ready to do some sewing too! I straightened up some in the sewing room. But I have to put away a stack of fabric before I will feel good about sewing. Oh well, at least I will be touching my textiles. I love that part too.
Between doing Christmas dinner for the whole family and that car running into my house, I have been pretty stressed and busy.

I am sew ready to sew again! Loved the holidays with my family but I am ready to spend some time sewing by myself. I picked up a bunch of fat quarters before Christmas and I can't wait to get started making things with them.

Put me in isolation too! Spent the last two day in the sewing room...but not sewing a stitch. Cleaned the room, sorted, washed (19 loads) and stored 11 boxes of gifted fabric, cleaned out the fabric storage closet, sorted books, patterns and magazines......was so tempted to start a block with the patterns I sorted....was disciplined (yuck) found several UFO's....so a day of happy sewing is coming up! The 3am bed time is starting to wear me out!

I too am ready to retreat to the sewing room. Probably need to do a bit of cleaning first, but I am ready to do some sewing for me!! It has been very busy this holiday season - and I did not get everything accomplished as gifts that I wanted to do and only got 1 panel out of 8 done for a paper pieced Tree Skirt. Who knows - I might get an early start for those gifts for next year!

Oh, count me in! I haven't touched a sewing machine since July and an so ready to get back in the sewing space. Will have to organize first since it's been a dumping ground. I'd like to make some tissue holders for the staff on my uncle's VA nursing home as a thank you. Should be a good warm up project. Have a couple of new babies coming too. DH is visiting our son in Boston for a weekend some time in January so I'm hoping to sew then. I'll have to do my best not to catch a bug or a cold from my school kids, that would be depressing...
And...a car ran into one of our member's house? Guess I've been away from the Board too long!

I finished up on the 23rd and had the headache of turning my sewing room back into the dining room. It was a mega task but I was jolly pleased that I managed to make the room festive, welcoming and very tidy. But, I'm itching to get stuck in again. I so want to play with my embellisher but we have a dinner party scheduled for 1st Jan and I daren't pull anything out in case my 'hide-the-sewing-stuff organisation' unravels like a coiled spring! I keep telling myself that patience is a virtue!

me too, me too... however, today we are celebrating our last Christmas get-together with my husband's daughter and her family... prime rib, scalloped potatoes, roasted carrots and homemade dinner rolls. BUT, once they are out the door around 4pm.... the sewing machine will rev up. : )

It must be "sewing rationing" that has all of us down. I spent way much time yesterday in the sewing room, trying to get the rest of the pieces cut for my finale centerpiece of the BOM I have been working on all year. As a consequence, all that standing for hours left me with my spinal stenosis screaming at me last evening. Oh, well, I got all the pieces parts cut out. Also got a few more HST's ironed for the Bonnie Hunter "stress of the year" quilt. I am so behind.
