I think the lazy susan idea is a great one. I did get a rotating mat, however, and I do like it.

Have you asked Joann's if they will do a military discount? I think the one in Knoxville TN does.

Looks like I may be the only one out there, but I don't like the fact that the mat is moving. I've had it slip too many times when I cut. I prefer to use a small mat that I can physically turn, but not is on a rotating system like the Brooklyn Revolver.

I have one & as ickhy as it works, you don't want to know what I call it! I was so amped to get it (it seems like such a great idea) but it rocks & is hard to cut on. I don't even know where it is now... I just went back to a smaller mat on top of a larger one... Just my thoughts...
