Yeah, I guess you are right..we do get into the topic and I know we all do not have the time to read through all the posts..guess I will just consider myself lucky that I do often have the time.
Now I am wanting to stay on all day and see if I notice this. ROFL. I guess if you read a lot on here and spend the time, it would be like reading part of a chapter all over again. SO good point made with this thread. Thanks

I don't mind it when a few people say the same thing a few times but
I don't like it when people can't be bothered to read and ask over and over again the SAME question that's already been answered 5 times in a prior post--sometimes even just one or two posts into a thread.

I will say that there are some wonderfully patient posters here who haven't minded answering the same question 5-10 because others can't be bothered to read. It's an exercise in real patience.

Well, this *sounds* like saying that YOUR time is so valuable that you shouldn't be bothered with irrelevant or "late-to-the-party" posts, but that OTHER folks should be required spend THEIR time (less valuable) reading an entire post before posting, in order to be sure that their response isn't redundant, out of sequence, etc. We do have some LONG threads here. What a shame to think one isn't welcome to just jump in. This is a community board, after all, not a business meeting or Congressional session. Surely that's not your intention...

I would be guilty. I try to check the board while I'm working, Im a caregiver so sometimes I have hours to spend and most of the time just a few minutes. I usually don't have time to read all the pages of posts but I do try to go to "Search" if I have a question before posting it. I'm fairly new so I don't know all I probably should about how the board works. Wish I had more time to be here !!!

I know that sometimes I start a reply, get side tracked, come back and finish and wa-laa! The entire board has put in their 2 cents, oh well! I like to see that others agree with me!! 8-)

I read the posts and enjoy and am thankful that the person took the time to even respond. I say keep posting. Can never have to many answers, ideas or thoughts. We have no idea when they answered, how long it took to actually post etc...

I like that folks feel free to just post what they would like to contribute even if they don't have time to read four pages before doing so ;) I'd have a hard time posting at all if I had to read every single post on a thread before saying anything. My kiddos don't like for me to spend too much time sitting at the computer these days ;)

I really don't mind the repeated comments. I understand that people are squeezing in board time between other activities, and posting a repeated comment is great because it reinforces the thought. However, I do have a problem with questions that are repeated after the answer has been posted. My feeling is if you are looking for help, you need to help too! (same thing with doing a search before a new post ...)

Guilty, I'm sure. Just scan through them like so many of us do and then maybe you won't notice them so much. Sorry.

I do see a lot of repeated messages. Used to annoy me, too, but then I realized that reading these threads is like being in a room with your best friends who are talking over each other. People don't always take turns! With that perspective, I just nod my head and think, "Yep, she was excited and didn't listen to what the others were saying."
