I just bought a long arm
Yes....I just bought a long arm quilting machine.....OMG I am still in shock (especially sticker shock)
I purchased the Innova 22in quilting machine. I was at the MQX quilt show in Manchester NH this past weekend and tried out all the machines, spoke to all the reps, bugged the devil out of all of them. Then made a decision.
The things that "won" me over for the Innova
1. the head rotates completely so that you can change feet easily
2. the roller bars have a different system than all the others, it gives the ability to be more fine tuned
3. The motor when hooked up to their lightening stitch regulator is nearly all digital, meaning more control on the regulator and also means the only oiling I need to do is to the bobbin area.
but the most important reason is because it called to me, when I put my hands on the machine it felt like home. I love the machine. Now have to wait 3wks or so for delivery, gonna be difficult!

Congratulations! I bought my 26" Innova before they came out with the new roll control system or the lightning stitch, both of which are wonderful enhancements, but it's still a great machine and I love it! Have you joined the yahoo Innova groups? There's lots of good information there. Have fun with your new machine.

Congrats!! I'm sure you will be sew happy with the machine. We were there and met all of the Innova folks. They are the nicest people. I looked at their sit-down but purchased a Tiara in Dec. I am so tempted to sell it and buy the Innova.
If you haven't, join the Yahoo group. The link to the group is on the Innova site.
Lucky you - waiting will be hard, won't it??

Wow! How exciting and wonderful!
I got a long arm in January. One piece of advice from learning the hard way.... try to work on your machine consistently until you really get your comfort level secure. I had several family issues that got overwhelming so I didn't use my long arm for about 6 weeks. When I finally got around to using it yesterday I struggled to remember some things. Luckily, I have a training session on it again in a few days, but I'll have to ask her to go over some of the basics that I was feeling comfortable with initially.
